Eureka!

On a gloriously sunny day Sue Higginson OBE DL represented the Lord-Lieutenant at the unveiling of cocreated artwork on the wall in the Community Space at Eureka! Science and Discovery. Quirky Designs Co. led workshops with young people from OOMOO, a branch of the Open Door Charity.

Pictured below is Sue with the Mayor of Wirral, Cllr Cherry Povall and Mayoress Mrs. Sheila Clarke and some of the team from Eureka! and OOMOO.

Inspired by concepts of “Discover” and “Place” and rooted in the beauty and identify of Wirral, the mural brings colour and imagination to Eureka’s Community Space – a place where schools, birthday parties, craft groups and community organisations come together to learn, play and create.

Sue, who is also a Trustee of Eureka, said it was really interesting to meet the young artists and representatives of OOMOO, who offer mental health support and weekly well-being activities for looked after children and young people ages 10 – 18 in Wirral, absolutely free, without waiting lists!
