A scheduled visit to mark the 185th anniversary of Cunard took place on Tuesday 27th May. HRH The Princess Royal had planned the visit for some time, however it proved to be most opportune following the events of the previous evening and enabled Her Royal Highness to include a visit to the Royal Liverpool Hospital to thank members of the Emergency Services and meet some patients. The visit was very timely and very much appreciated by all those who met HRH.
On a happier note, the visit to MS Queen Anne was delightful and a great many of the crew were presented to Her Royal Highness. Liverpool is the spiritual home of Cunard and Liverpool City Council Chief Executive Andrew Lewis welcomed Cunard President Katie McAllister’s decision to choose Liverpool as the venue to mark this historic anniversary.
