Peter Oliver OBE DL represented the Lord-Lieutenant on Wednesday 25th June at Merchant Taylors’ Speech Day.
This year’s ceremony took place at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool. This marks a move in the school calendar for this special occasion, which will now take place at the end of the summer term each year.
All pupils from both Boys’ and Girls’ senior schools were in attendance, making their speech on stage – a tremendous opportunity for each one to gain experience speaking in such a fabulous setting.
Guest speaker at the event was Professor Iain Buchan, Associate Pro Vice Chancellor for Innovation, University of Liverpool, W.H. Duncan Chair of Public Health Systems.
