The University Hospitals of Liverpool Group hosted a Diwali celebration last night – the first ever – at Aintree Hospital and it was clearly an evening filled with colour, light and prayer, as well as some delicious food. Happy Diwali!
The invitation said, “May the radiant light of Diwali illuminate our path towards peace and social harmony.”
The organisers were consultants Bhavna Panda and Kulwinder Kaur and the Lord-Lieutenant was delighted to have been invited, being represented on the night by Peter Oliver OBE DL.
A few pictures are attached, showing Bhavna and Kulwinder along with Jyoti Vithlani and Peter, who said, “It was excellent to visit, and an opportunity to speak as well as learn. I am looking forward to meeting with Jyoti in the future to learn more about our Hindu community and her work.”
