Marine in the Community, a football club based in Sefton, has raised £85,000 to have a new hub built alongside the football pitch. The hub includes a disability ramp and is available for use for a variety of purposes. In the first week they have held yoga sessions, begun the Marine FC Choir and have started a youth club which is at full capacity already!
The Lord-Lieutenant attended the opening on Friday 31st October 2025. It is clearly going to be a well used facility for the local community and will generate income for the charity.
