Liverpool Olympia Venue began its life in 1905 originally serving as an innovative and cutting edge circus, became a theatre, music venue and a base for soldiers during World War 2. Today it has been launched as a CIC to offer opportunities within the creative sectors, for local people, and to continue being a central hub of entertainers bringing in hundreds of thousands of visitors each year with sell out concerts and performances.
Natalie Reeves Billing represented the Lord-Lieutenant at the launch of the CIC, taking a tour of the building and meeting Noo Noo the animatronic elephant, witness the lovingly restored seating area and see a light show demonstrating the capabilities in sound and stage craft of this incredible venue.
Good luck to this great venture – we look forward to hearing more about their successes!
