Knowsley Ambassadors’ Event

Many thanks to Knowsley for inviting the Lord-Lieutenant to join a panel at their Knowsley Ambassadors’ Event this morning to talk about the role of the Lieutenancy but also in particular to talk about The King’s Awards for Enterprise (KAE).

It was a pleasure to be joined on the panel by Dr. Rachael Baker MD JJ Smith, Andy Dockerty Founder and Director of Adlib, and Dean Dumbell, Group Chief Exec of Knowsley Development Trust, all of whom have been awarded the QAE or KAE. Many thanks to Dale Milburn, Exec Director for Place at Knowsley Council for Chairing the Panel discussion.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious business awards. They are administered by the Department for Business and Trade, working closely with Buckingham Palace and No. 10 Downing Street.

There are five categories of award:

International Trade

Innovation

Sustainability

Promoting Opportunity (through social mobility)

Young Founder
