Many congratulations to all those receiving national honours yesterday in the beautiful Concert Room at St. George’s Hall. The honours were presented by the Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside, Peter Oliver OBE on behalf of His Majesty The King. It was extremely humbling to hear each of your stories.
There were six investitures into the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, one receiving an MBE; Mrs. Rachel Hancocks, and five receiving British Empire Medals; Dr. Graeme Allan, Dr. Nunzia Bertali, Mrs. Bernadette Langfield, Mr. Arnold Lewis, Mrs. Jennifer Turner and Mr. Richard Turner.
There was also the presentation of an Honorary MBE to US Citizen Mr. Herb Kim.
Thanks to the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Cllr William Shortall, Mayor of Sefton, Cllr Jennifer Corcoran and Deputy Mayor of Wirral, Cllr Michael Sullivan for your support in recognising the extraordinary contributions of these incredible people and their impact in our communities.
