PAL Centre Celebration EID AL-ADHA

The Pakistan Association Liverpool (PAL) held their Eid al-Adha Celebration and Thanksgiving Event recently on 7th June.

The event celebrated Eid al-Adha, a festival centred on devotion, obedience, sacrifice, generosity and sharing with others. Throughout the evening, these values were evident not only in the speeches and prayers but also in the genuine warmth, kindness and hospitality shown to everyone present.

Natalie Reeves Billing DL attended the event on behalf of the Lord-Lieutenant and described the evening,

“Guests enjoyed a delicious communal meal and the opportunity to meet, converse and strengthen community connections. Entertainment was provided throughout the evening, and children received gifts. The Imam delivered a heartfelt address and led prayers, reflecting on the significance of Eid al-Adha and the importance of supporting others, particularly those who may be vulnerable or isolated. Discussions throughout the evening highlighted the PAL Centre’s extensive work within the local community and its commitment to creating an inclusive environment where people from all backgrounds are welcomed and supported.

The evening was characterised by friendship, laughter, generosity and a genuine sense of belonging. It provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships, celebrate faith and culture, and recognise the important role that organisations such as the PAL Centre play in fostering community cohesion across Merseyside.”
