Ainsdale in Bloom received their King’s Award for Voluntary Service on Friday 20th March on a beautiful spring day which amply showed off the uplifting plants and flowers in the planters around Ainsdale Village.
However, the group undertakes far more than their name might suggest. This relatively small group of twelve volunteers works with local institutions specialising in mental health and those with SEND, helping everyone to flourish and value living in Ainsdale. The group has worked for ten years to reach their current position and this award is truly well deserved.
Many congratulations to Brenda Porter and all of the volunteers and organisations who were there on the day to celebrate and have helped them along the way.
