Bootle Bucks tournament

Bootle Bucks Social Inclusion Football Tournament.

Bootle Bucks held their annual social inclusion football tournament at the weekend, with the main winners on each day being presented with the Duchy of Lancaster Cup – on Saturday by Julie Lawson BEM DL and on Sunday by the Lord-Lieutenant.

The tournament, held at Bootle FC ground, is open to teams from 5/6years of age to teenagers and they come to take part from across the country, with approximately 300 young people playing.

All of the boys and girls receive a medal for participating, but there is a special runner up plaque and a winning team trophy.

A few pictures below show how much fun and enjoyment the young people, (and the organisers) get out of the two days. Well done to John Doran and the Bootle Bucks Inclusion CIC, which received a grant of £1,200 from the Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund Merseyside towards the cost of the pitch hire.
