Janice Cox QVRM

Janice Cox is employed by the Ministry of Defence as the Defence Relationship Manager for Merseyside and the Isle of Man. She actively engages with organisations across the region, helping them understand the value of signing the Armed Forces Covenant and building mutually beneficial partnerships with Defence, and fellow Covenant signatories.

Prior to Janice’s current role, her civilian career includes a wealth of management experience in Human Resources, Business and Service Delivery.

Janice has been an active volunteer for many years. She joined the Women’s Royal Naval Service at HMS Eaglet in 1980. She retired from the Royal Naval Reserve in 2019 as the Command Warrant Officer for the Maritime Reserve. Her specialisation in the Royal Navy was Logistics.

She is a Trustee at Veterans HQ (Liverpool), and volunteered as a Childline Counsellor in Liverpool.

Janice was awarded the Queens Volunteer Reserve Medal for exemplary meritorious service in the conduct of her duties in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2018.

Janice and her husband Matt live in Hightown, and have family in the UK and United States.
