John Lewis MBE is a founder member of SOG Ltd. In 2000 SOG purchased The Heath at Runcorn, Cheshire, the former chemical headquarters of ICI, and transformed the location into one of the UK’s leading business and technical parks. Now the majority shareholder of SOG, he heads an organisation with a location that is home to more than 120 individual businesses supporting 2,000 jobs.

John is also responsible for SOG’s regeneration consultancy service which provides advice and support to large organisations which are closing or downsizing sites.

Currently, John is delivering his vision to transform The Heath Business and Technical Park to meet the challenges of climate change through the creation of ‘Heath Park’, a 21stcentury version of Port Sunlight.

By repurposing existing buildings alongside new developments Heath Park will be a sustainable, futuristic environment where people can live, work and play in a Net Zero Plus Carbon environment ahead of regional/national targets.  Heath Park has been recognised as ‘Beacon Project’ for Liverpool City Region by Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram and is one of 35 Green Innovation Schemes included in the UK Government’s Global Investment Atlas.

Married to wife Linda and with two grown-up children, he is the nephew of the late legendary comedian Sir Ken Dodd.  John was awarded an MBE in 2019 for services to Merseyside business.
