Judith attended Birkenhead High School GDST and the University of Birmingham where she read Commerce. She joined ICI Mond division where she worked in a series of commercial roles. She has since worked in management training and for 20 years in the NHS as chair of several hospital trusts and health authorities, latterly at Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals where she worked closely on the development of the new Royal hospital and bio campus.
Judith is a member of Liverpool Cathedral Executive Committee.
She was awarded a CBE for services to the NHS in the Queen’s Birthday honours in 2010. She was High Sheriff of Merseyside in 2008-9.
Judith and her husband David have a daughter and two sons.
