In 1984, Bernard Buxton MBE and a group of friends and colleagues founded the Liverpool Taxi Drivers Children in Care Outing Fund. 

For over 40 years the charity has been providing exciting days out for local children in care and families in need of support. Today, with the help of many individuals, charities and companies, over 300 made the journey from Liverpool to Southport to enjoy a day at Adventure Coast. 

It was a pleasure to meet and talk with Bernie and team, and many of those attending. Well done to all, and thank you.
