Many, many congratulations to the brave swimmers who took part in the annual Swim Across the Mersey on Saturday to raise funds for the Lord Mayor’s Charity and Try4Life.
Organised by Liam Hanlon DL (who also swam) and Robin Baynes MBE, the swim took place in difficult conditions, with ten swimmers choosing not to start. One hundred and twenty five swimmers started and all made it safely across!
Liam said, “The support from the swimmers and all the safety crews was fantastic and the feedback from the swimmers, the safety crews, the community groups, and charities, has been overwhelmingly positive.”
