Congratulations Mosslands School on the development of their new multi-million pound campus.

It was an incredible ‘35 degrees hot’ morning in Wallasey on Friday 26th June 2026, as a piece of the steel framework for the new campus was signed by pupils, staff, a proud Chair of Governors Jane Owens MBE and other local Wirral Council Officers and Councillors.

Sue Higginson OBE was delighted to attend as a Deputy Lieutenant of Merseyside Lieutenancy  and sign this on behalf of the Lord-Lieutenant.

Sue commented,  “It is just brilliant to see such investment in our borough and I look forward to watching this develop to provide our young people in Wirral with fantastic new learning facilities. As a school known for its focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (#STEAM)  subjects, this will provide opportunities for future generations of young people to develop their pathways to rewarding careers in this area. Thanks to the Head Teacher, Chair of Governors and the construction team from Willmott Dixon for allowing me to take part in a little piece of Wirral’s living history.”
