On Friday 27th February Newton-le-Willows FC received their King’s Award for Voluntary Service at Newton Sports Club.
This incredible club provides football coaching and organises friendly and competitive matches to under 18s from the age of 2 upwards. It uses its volunteer base to provide coaching and training in a safe, supportive environment. There are currently 38 different teams within the group of varying ages, skills and abilities.
The coaching and training is both inclusive and supportive and also includes opportunities for children with disabilities and older members of the community to include Walking Football.
A well deserved award for a great group of people.
