Natalie Reeves-Billing DL attended an event to celebrate the 90 year anniversary of the Nigerian IGBO community in Liverpool on behalf of the Lord-Lieutenant on 23rd August.
The event brought together Igbo communities from across the UK, raising funds for both the development of the IGBO Centre and also for the Lord Mayor of Liverpool’s Charities.
Natalie said, “There was food, dancing demonstrations, presentations and an introduction to the traditions and cultures of the IGBO people. The event started with the National Anthem of the UK followed by the anthem of Nigeria. The community were delighted to have me present, and made me feel very welcome throughout.”
