Continuing the Merseyside Lieutenancy’s Schools’ Programme, Sue Higginson OBE visited Prenton Primary School to deliver a session to two classes of year 5 children. 

So far, we have delivered this to thousands of primary school pupils to introduce the work we do in our Merseyside Lieutenancy, on behalf of Peter Oliver OBE, HM Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside.

Our Schools’ Programme teaches children about the Royal Family’s history, heritage and aspects of The King’s role, hobbies and interests.

Sue said ‘ Since my last visit to this school, the children have completed a fantastic project on the work they do to help protect our planet, using the book we left with them, ‘It’s up to us’, a Children’s Terra Carta. The children explained what they do to focus on Climate and Community, to make a difference and they pointed out to Sue that they share an interest in these things with both King Charles and Sir David Attenborough.
