The Pride of Sefton Awards took place recently and the Lord-Lieutenant was represented by Julie Lawson BEM DL, a Sefton resident herself.
The Awards could not ignore the tragic circumstances of the attacks in Southport last year and the Pride of Sefton 2025 were indeed given to Alice Dasilva Aguiar, Bebe King and Elsie Dot Stancombe. It was a very emotional night.
The Community Impact Award was presented by Julie to Jinnie Payne, Head Teacher at Churchtown primary School, one of thirteen awards presented on the evening recognising the many, many people in Sefton who go the extra mile. Well done to all concerned.
