The RAF Woodvale Annual Reception took place last night, attended by Mrs. Janice Cox QRVM DL on behalf the Lord-Lieutenant.

Jan reported, “It was a lovely event which provided a chance to observe the Air Cadets during colours. They were very professional and did an outstanding job.”

“Colours” in this case evening colours, refers to the ceremony of marking the start or end of the official day. In the evening the ceremony involves the lowering of the national flag to the sound of a bugle call.
