Following an Interfaith Lecture held in Southport Synagogue last year the Southport Interfaith Group has been formed and yesterday an Interfaith Walk of Unity took place, meeting at Southport Synagogue.
The walk was attended by many faith communities with between 175 and 200 people and also included the MP for Southport, Mr. Patrick Hurley, the Mayor of Sefton Cllr June Burns, a Chief Superintendent of Police and Deputy Lieutenants Dr. Crispin Pailing MBE DL and Peter Oliver OBE DL.
The organisers noted that it is good to show that, “we are united in Southport with supporting each other.”
