Although staff moved into St. Anne Street Police Station in August this year, I was delighted to be asked to formally re-open it today, following its extensive refurbishment. The building is unrecognisable from its previous condition and the facilities provided for the police officers and staff are outstanding, enabling them to continue to put the community first in everything that they do. Many congratulations to the Police and Crime Commissioner, Emily Spurrell, the Chief Constable, Serena Kennedy and the Estates Team at Merseyside Police; Paul Bailey, Paul Farley the project lead and their teams. It was also good to see Mary Donnellan, the former head of Estates there for the opening and the former PCC Jane Kennedy, who together began this work. Well done to all concerned!
