The King’s Award for Voluntary Service presented to Prescot Festival of Music and Arts

On Friday evening 26th June 2026 the Prescot Festival of Music and Arts received their King’s Award for Voluntary Service.

Established in the early 2000s, the group provides an arts and cultural programme, accessible and affordable and held in historic Prescot.

As an essential element each year, the volunteers provide a much-needed platform for community cohesion, partnership and engagement through their calendar of music, culture and arts.

The volunteers have established links with several schools within Prescot. In addition, they have created collaborations with several churches, and other businesses so that they have a wide variety of venues and performance space.

Deputy Lieutenants Lesley Martin-Wright and Natalie Reeves Billing both stayed for some of the concert afterwards by the Easy Street Band – a fabulous band!

Congratulations to all!
