The Waterloo and Crosby Theatre Group was originally formed in 1912 as the Waterloo and Crosby Amateur Operatic Society, which merged with the Cambridge Players in 1982 and in 2022 celebrated 110 years of performing in the local community.
The group has a wide range of members aged between 9 and 85, and has a youth group for its younger members. The Group is a charitable organisation which is proud of its links with the local community.
The Group held a Civic Night at Bootle Town Hall, showcasing the talents of their members to a very well attended audience which was treated to Beauty and the Beast.
Thanks to Julie Lawson BEM DL who attended on behalf of the Lord-Lieutenant. Julie is also President of the Group and is rightly very proud of them.
