Sue Higginson OBE DL visited Tomorrow’s Women in Birkenhead on behalf of the Lord-Lieutenant this morning, Friday 30th May.
Sue said, “I had a very special morning opening the new Salon and Computing facilities at Tomorrow’s Women in Birkenhead, representing the Merseyside Lieutenancy Lord-Lieutenant. Aptly named ‘Empowering Hair’ this salon is one of the many facets that Tomorrow’s Women provide for women, and I’ve been privileged to be involved with them since they started back in 2011. Since then, they have supported over 17000 women, providing a safe, nurturing environment to help them develop confidence, skills and community spirit. I am so proud of everything Karen Horner and her team have achieved and congratulate them on their huge success. Tomorrow’s Women are the essence of what constitutes a caring, committed and empowering community that makes a huge difference. Congratulations on making this happen!”
