West Kirby School and College welcomed Deputy Lieutenant Sue Higginson OBE DL to their school, to continue the roll out of our Merseyside Lieutenancy’s Schools’ Programme.  Sue said ‘I was fortunate to attend during the schools’ ‘LitFest’, a celebration of literacy. Staff had worked incredibly hard to create a magical day with pupils performing music, enjoying poetry, reading, arts and crafts, animal care and lots more.’

Deputy Head, Mr Flanagan said: 

‘As a special needs school we are passionate about breaking down barriers to young pupils’ futures and celebrating their amazing achievements.  The work you did today is hopefully the start of growing something which opens our school up to the wider community.’
