Wallasey Town Hall welcomed 15 of our newest British Citizens in a ceremony on 30th July. Accompanied by friends and family, each new Citizen pledged allegiance to His Majesty The King before receiving their Citizenship Certificate. Attended by Wirral Mayor, Cllr. Mary Jordon, who extended her welcome as Wirral’s First Citizen, and Deputy Lieutenant Sue Higginson OBE who attended on behalf of The Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside, Peter Oliver OBE representing HM The King.
Sue was delighted to meet our new British Citizens, to learn something of their stories and get an opportunity to wish them continued success, as they continue to build successful futures in Wirral.
