On Friday 9th October 2026 a lovely evening took place at Thornton Hough Hotel celebrating the Mayor of Wirral Cllr.  Mary Jordan’s Civic Ball.

The event raised funds for The Mayor’s Charities, The Paul Lavelle Foundation and Wirral Carers Alliance, and was attended by Mayors and civic dignitaries from neighbouring boroughs. Deputy Lieutenant  Sue Higginson OBE was delighted to attend on behalf of our Lord-Lieutenant,

Sue  said ‘thank you to the Mayor of Wirral for a wonderful evening, to Billy Hui BEM who made the evening flow beautifully as event host, and  many thanks to the staff and volunteers who worked hard to make the evening so successful, raising much needed funds for local charities’
