A Young Writers’ Event was held recently at Liverpool Central Library; a two hour children’s workshop aimed at inspiring young children to use their imaginations to write a short story with illustrations.
Based in the Discovery section of the Library, the workshops were led by Global Women’s Summit founder, Dr Sylvia Forchap.
Natalie Reeves Billing DL worked with a selection of young people, asking them about their stories and drawings. Their ages ranged from 4 up to 15, and a large crowd of parents and supporters gathered to take part in the event.
The quality of the work was astounding, and Natalie’s own daughter got fully involved too. A truly inspiring day, culminating in an award presentation for the lucky winners from each age group. Each winner will be published by the team and received a certificate on the day.
A beautiful day supporting literacy in young people, and fostering a love of reading and creativity.
